The ballet school evolved from a very small nucleus and has grown from strength to strength in popularity and reputation. Tamara Moubayed, (principal ballet teacher) is a fully qualified and experienced teacher in the Russian Classical Ballet Style.
This beautiful and most elegant of styles is recognised world-wide for its fluidity and strength. And it is this Russian ballet method which is now being passionately taught by Tamara, in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent
A professionally trained dancer, Tamara is proud and privileged to be in a position whereby she can nurture the love for dance in all her pupils.
The school is proud to be a member of the Russian Ballet Society which incorporates the Legat style in its teaching. The Legat style and the present Vaganova method are undeniably linked. Agrippina Vaganova herself studied under Nicholas Legat. The Russian teaching we admire today is renowned for developing quality of performance, beauty of style and strength of technique. Our pupils are examined in the Legat system within the Russian Ballet Society: www.russianballetsociety.co.uk http://www.dtol.ndirect.co.uk/rbsoc.htm.
Our Society is fully accredited by the Performing Arts Exam Board, which is regulated by OFQUAL so you can rest assured that your child’s training and exam work is of the highest quality.
Tamara is also fortunate in having her husband, John, a professional ballet teacher, involved in taking an active part in guest teaching the senior ballet class in which his expertise in the Vaganova method is highly recognised. Together, their aim and goal is to:
Stimulate, challenge, encourage and inspire all pupils to excel and reach their full potential, building self-confidence and artistic expression.
With a fully dedicated teaching staff and a strong classical background at its core, the school is now thriving and well established, offering ballet to boys and girls from 3 years old and upwards. Adult Ballet and Tap lessons are also available. Lessons in Modern dance and Tap dance are offered to children from the age of 5½ years of age. The well equipped studio is light and airy with professionally erected ballet barres and mirrors.
Our staff are fully qualified and professionally trained dance teachers who are caring and inspirational in their teaching.
We are always pleased to welcome new pupils and parents, and rest assured, you will be greeted with happy and friendly smiles from us all. We guarantee to do our very best and strive to achieve excellent results on your behalf. These are great reasons for you to choose to study at our ballet school, here in Southborough, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
